I've been a pretty bad blogger havent i? I'd love to do some tutorials etc but recently i've been feeling a bit down, Hopefully things will pick up soon!
I was on my way back from the Dr's last week (yay,more stuff wrong with me, hurt my foot, slipped cartilage,bloody painful!) i walk..or hop/limp through a park on my way home, it was covered in leaves and just looked amazing so i took a wee photo on my phone :-).

Well not long after i made this post i finally caved in and bought the Going Batty necklace from Callooh and Callay. A few days after i ordered, this came in the post.

Isn't the packaging cute? There was a lolly for my and a wee halloween toy that Suki took a liking to...

Accessorize Nail Polish - Illusion Purple Dream Shade 40

What i think
This is the first Accessorize polish that Ive tried, i loved the look of the colour of the polish in the bottle and it actually looks pretty similar on my nails! It has an indigo base with pink and purple shimmer. It needed 3 coats to get a good even colour but it dried quite fast so this was no problem. I love the colour and the formula seems pretty good too, ive worn it for 5 days and i have no chips, i haven't exactly been hard on them though ;-). The only thing i don't like is the design of the bottle, it looks pretty enough but the lid is wide so it is hard to get a decent grip with and the brush... well the brush is really skinny so you don't get much coverage and the bristles are really soft so you don't have much control and this makes it a bit difficult to apply neatly.

So over all i give it 3.5 out of 5, great polish, not so great bottle.

Pin up victory rolls tutorial

This is a video i posted on youtube a few years ago. Its a simple way i figured of doing victory rolls when i had shorter hair, this is my go to simple but effective hairdo for a night out. I should probably make an updated version of this! And i have no make up on so excuse the scaryness! :-)

And heres a variation using the same method, ive also pinned a side section into a curl.

Edinburgh day out!

Last week i went through to Edinburgh with my friend Matthew, it was a miserable rainy day (yay scotland!)

I got lots of lovely Lush goodies

Amazing vanilla fudge from the Fudge Kitchen, mmmmm...

Some nice shiny Accessorize polish and a black polish that comes with a slim brush so you can create arty nails - it comes with glitter too!

We went to Mamma's for some of the best pizza ever!! Then went for cocktails, long island iced teas,yum! Thats probably why im looking so happy in the last pic! :-D

My Fabulous Life Update...

Im back after my septoplasty operation, i had to stay in hospital overnight for observation and got a fabulous two hours sleep! When i woke up from the anaesthetic i thought i was in cinderella hahah (i was quite enjoying it) so i got home this afternoon, feeling a bit sore and sorry for myself, cant wait til it heals. I have saved up some reviews etc to do while i have some time off work so those will be up soon!

Hospital

I'm off to hospital tomorrow...well technically later today since its early morning. Got my bags all packed! I'm all nervous,eek, I've had 8 ops before but i still get nervous, i'm going in because i have a severely deviated septum (a.k.a dodgy nose) cant breathe through it,causes migraines etc...

I love this colour, didn't put a topcoat on though...its hiding somewhere :-/ i have a O.P.I turquoise crackle coat that i bet would look great with this!

Garnier BB Cream

Look what i got through the post this morning.

I received 3 samples of the new Garnier BB Cream 'miracle skin perfector' in the lightest shade. As you can tell from the swatch below it is way too dark and orange looking on my super light skin so Ive given these to my sister, hopefully she can post a review of it on my blog in the future!

Whats purple and sparkly?

My nails this week!!

They are so sparkly, i couldnt really capture it in the photos. I started with a base coat, the purple polish is Barry M - Bright Purple £2.99 and the holographic polish is Maybelline - Flash Cosmic £4.09, both from Superdrug. I topped it off with a couple of coats of Bourjois So Laque - Fixant Brilliant, i love this topcoat,its so shiny and dries fast!

Hi and welcome to my blog!

So here is a little bit of info about me. My name is Jo,im 25 and i live in sunny Scotland. I decided to start a blog as an outlet for my creativity and for fun,i love anything arts and crafts orientated and running a blog could be just the thing to get my creative juices going, i have so many ideas already!

The blog will mainly be about make-up and beauty alongside some fashion and with a smattering of randomness!

Fashion wise i just love vintage inspired styles, especially 40's and 50's, goth and rockabilly. I am 'plus sized' a uk 18 and i am 5ft 8" so i know it can be difficuilt finding nice,non-frumpy clothes!

Make up - I have extremely fair skin and have searched high and low for perfect foundations and make up to suit me. I will have reviews, swatches and tutorials!

Beauty - I love a bit of pampering, i will have reviews of any beauty products i use as well as highlighting some skin conditions, ingredients and how to care for your skin.
